an evening at #LushPlymouth

Last Tuesday I got to attend my second ever local blogger event. I've been to a few brand events and meet ups before but they hardly ever happen local to me. The evening was set to be full of beautiful smells, ethically sound products and an introduction to both the Mother's Day and Easter gift collections as well as some of the perfumes.

I already knew about Lush supporting fairtrade and ethically sourced produce as well as their use of natural ingredients in their products which is what it's all about really. The ethos of the company is fantastic and one that I think more businesses should undertake. I did learn about how my local store in Plymouth support smaller causes as well. At the moment they're raising money through the sales of the Charity Pot lotion for a local beach clean-up organisation called Rame Peninsula Beach Care and gathering signatures for the Surfers Against Sewage campaign - which you can see here.

It's all of these wonderful things that make Lush such a great place to visit and shop from. Not only are their products a treat but the staff are genuinely lovely and happy to help so it was nice to have a good chat with them about Lush, the new products and some of my old favourites like Dream Cream and Honey Trap. :)

This is my little parcel of goodies wrapped in a special scarf and I can't wait to show you what's inside. I'm going to publish some reviews of the products I took home with me but for now I just wanted to show you what we got up to at the event that evening and the products I've started using and am excited to use once my bathroom/bath is ready! :D

So here's a few photos (and the rest of them) from the evening, showing some of the products we were introduced to as well as the demos that went on and of course the fab hand and arm massaging. It's hard to talk about everything because so much seemed to happen in such a short amount of time but I promise to talk about it more in my reviews. There are more pictures on the Lush Plymouth twitter and Instagram, including a photo of everyone. :) I had a great time and would like to thank the #LushPlymouth team for having me!
