gift ideas for him

Buying for boys appears to be the worlds worst thing at Christmas, or so I'm told. I believe that I've done alright for Shaun this time around though I suppose we'll have to wait until December 25th for a true verdict. But honestly, buying Christmas gifts for guys or even mens gifts in general isn't really all that bad, especially if you know their style. I've found that sourcing presents for my boyfriend is easier than presents for my dad, then my brother is relatively easy to buy for too. None of them create a particularly stressful gift shopping situation though.

Guys are normally pretty easily entertained by a joke present or two so some novelty boxers, a funny drinking game or ridiculous looking socks tend to go down pretty well in my experience. For those more serious and good looking gifts though I like to shop for these main gifting categories; accessories, shoes and bags and I often gift outerwear like coats and hoodies as well. I've bought a number of Superdry gifts over the years as their jumpers and gilets always go down a treat.

Shoes are an easy gift in my eyes, be it a pair of beautiful smart shoes or chunky trainers. Last year I bought 5 lots of footwear gifts including some G Star hi-top trainers, Hunter gloss wellies, Faith heeled boots, Kurt Geiger heels and Carvela platforms. Every one of the people I bought these shoes for absolutely loved them and I'll definitely do it again.

Another staple gift for guys are belts, bags and wallets; handy accessories to always have around and every man or boy needs at least one of each. Whether they realise that they need one or not a bag is a good option be it a formal leather satchel or simple gym bag it's got to be better than shoving everything into a Tesco carrier or propping your laptop under your arm..
