craving: awesome handbags

When talking handbags I'm in two minds; a bag either needs to be flawlessly simple and elegant or edgy with lots of details. For a while now I've been leaning towards dark bags with studs, quilting, tassels and extra hardware so I'm currently shopping around for a new handbag to add to my collection that will give my burgundy Mango quilted and studded bowler bag a bit of a break.

Kenzo create some dreamy bags, their handbags and wallets are finished with perfectly silver chains, zips, poppers and Kenzo brand metal details. The price tag is higher than the average bag but that's reflected in the quality of the design and materials so there are quite a few i'm lusting after on Spartoo - here.

I'm loving the look of a few great bags from the likes of brands like Moschino, Furla and Sonia Rykiel and Armani. The Armani bag specifically is pretty different to the others because it's a structured backpack and the only bag I've picked out with a croc textured design. I'm drawn to crock clutch bags and purses so the idea of a simple rucksack really appeals to me. It's not what i'm looking for as I want more of every day bag but I can see this or the Love Moschino quilted rucksack being perfect for days out and to give my right shoulder and arm a break.

Dark bags are easy to pair with any and all outfits with a black bag being so diverse that it's easy to just pick up and go without swapping to a more suitable colour/style. In shoppng around i've decided on getting a smaller shoulder bag like the Furla and Vivienne Westwood pieces on the bottom row as well as a bigger bag like the bucket style bag in the top left.
