I don't dress overly smart for work and I never really have. Adding a blazer with rolled up sleeves to a nice outfit is about my limit in terms of workwear but lately I have been drawn to what I call office dresses. Those fitted and structured grey, cream or black high neck pieces with pretty peplums and capped sleeves or colour block patterns with shoulder pads. This cute two tone grey dress is from Little Mistress and is a perfect example of what i'm talking about. The only downside to having fallen for this office dress style is that they require I wear a pair of heels such as simple courts or petite peep toes rather than my usual ankle boots. I'm a huge fan of comfortable boots and cool looking shoes and I cannot deal with ballet flats or similar styles .. plimsole style trainers are my limit .. so if I buy more officewear dresses they I need to find a super comfy and wearable pair of heels or an alternative like shoe boots - but i'm not convinced they are they way to go. I do love my beautiful KG by Kurt Geiger heels though :) Pretty girly with the bows but in black I think that I get away with it.
Any ideas? Tell me what shoes you wear to work :)

On another note, I love MKTO at the moment. They're so upbeat and the lyrics are honest and relatively good advice .. not a random collection of words being shouted at you through a microphone. It's a shame that they only have two songs at the moment because I constantly have both in my head, not that this is a bad thing! But it explains why the last two outfit posts have had MKTO lyrics in the title.
