outfit : you should keep your best friends close by, but keep your enemies closer

For some time I have been looking for the perfect evening jacket, something that suits a night down at the local pub, drinks with the girls and a meal with family. This is it! I adore how versatile this Lashes of London sequin biker is. The biker part is me all over, I love my collection of biker jackets. The sequins give it the glam / dressy night time edge that I was looking for and the antique gold colour makes it pretty without being over the top. A winner all round I think :)

Contrasting jewellery is something I often wear, there's something about clashing silver with gold that I just love. I love the simple contrast of my sterling silver rings and silver and amber necklace against the antique gold of this jacket.

Some outfits don't photograph nearly as well as they look in real life and I feel like this is one of them. I loved it, felt confident and comfortable but I don't think that comes across enough in the pictures. These jeans are a beautiful jacquard print that stands out a little more that pictured but is subtle enough to be photographed without the detail. A shame really.

I wore this out for a few drinks to celebrate my new job. I start on monday and i'm excited! This is the one I told you about in my weekly post, the one I wanted and was nervously tweeting about. I'd rather not say who i'll be working for or what it is for now but let's say i'm looking forward to getting back into a routine and doing something that I enjoy :)
